Merry Christmas!

We celebrated Jesus's birthday early this year.  Luke enjoyed opening presents.  Now he has a few days to play with them before we leave for the flatlands.  At the end of the day he asked for more presents.

Kai has been so cute this afternoon.  He talked and laughed alot.  Now he is napping.  I was hoping to run some errands, but I'm not sure if there will be time before Kai is hungry again.  Probably won't update this until next year.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Hopefully we will see most of you when we are back in the flatlands.

Present from Aunt Karen and family...

Here are a few new pictures.  I just downloaded the pictures that we have taken this month.  We have friends coming over soon, and Kai needs to eat, so this will be short.  Kai rolled over from his back to his belly today for the first time.  He had his 4-month appointment last week and was 14lb 10oz. and about 25 inches long.  He came in just under 50%.  It makes me wonder where the clothing makers get their sizes for babies since his 6 month clothes are too small (the onesies especially).  Luke just got this puzzle.  It was suppose to be my Christmas present...something for us to do together.  He couldn't wait to try it, and Aaron couldn't wait to help him.

I am thankful that we have friends to spend Thanksgiving with, but will miss my family too. We are going to a friends house for Thanksgiving. They said they like to take in strays although they are not serving Turkey. I may have to make a turkey soon...

Luke is a squirrel-ly as ever. I feel like we have to get out each morning or we will drive each other nuts. He is speaking so much more these days - trying really hard to use sentences and pronouns. He is enjoying preschool. He comes home with an art project or two every week. He likes their playground. The other day I think he started singing a song that they must of sung at preschool. He seems to think that it is fun to growl in Kai's face. It doesn't seem to bother Kai unless he is tired. Then he will cry. Kai is growing so fast. I think he will be in 6-9 month clothes by Christmas. He is already wearing a few of the smaller ones. He is typically a happy and content baby. He likes to hold onto spit up cloths or bibs now. I think he has the potential to be a kid with an attachment to a blanket.

I sat Kai on the couch, so I could put on a dvd for Luke. When I turned around, Luke was laying next to Kai.

Kai is growing so fast.  He has started sucking his thumb more.  He is using his hands more, and loves to kick when he is on his back.  He almost always has a smile for us.  The other night he was laughing as he was falling asleep....so cute!

Luke is not really into dressing up for Halloween.  I bought him a football jersey thinking it was more like normal clothes.  I had to bribe him to wear it.  Friday night he trick-or-treated a little at a local mall.  He said he wanted a tiger costume, so we went to look and didn't find anything.  I told him if he wore the jersey then he could have some candy.  The next day we had a party with his playgroup at a pumpkin patch.  They had lots of jump houses which he loved.  We didn't go out Saturday night.

Luke is starting to ask for things at the store.  I tell him he should ask for them for Christmas.  He says he is going to ask Grandpa for them for Christmas.

When I ask Luke what he wants for Christmas, he says a Christmas tree.  I think we can do that :)

Luke was asking to take his feet off the other day...This morning he wanted to buy a new foot.

Not much new around here besides that our nephew was born today (to Aaron's brother Joe).  Both my boys are sleeping, although I think Kai will want to eat soon.

Luke made this mask at preschool.
